How does the filtration actually work?
Our media is built from the mineral pseudoboehmite (AlO(OH)), spun into alumina nanofibers roughly two nanometers across. Those fibers carry a natural positive charge field (Al+++) that attracts and holds the negatively charged sub-micron particles most contaminants ride on, so the filter captures what pore size alone cannot. This is adsorption and ion exchange, not mechanical straining. A single gram of media offers more than 500 square meters of active surface area, and about 400 charged layers form a tortuous path that water threads through at a mean pore size near 1.25 microns. Because the charge does the work, the cartridge holds a pressure drop of less than 0.1 bar while it filters.
What does it reduce?
The charged nanofiber field reduces lead, fluoride, arsenic, chromium, and other heavy metals, along with pharmaceuticals and additional sub-micron particulates that slip past conventional filters. It also reduces bacteria and protozoa. Layers of nanoalumina are paired with activated carbon to address taste, odor, and organic compounds, while a 5-micron pre-filter wrap catches sediment first to extend the life of the charged field. The result is broad reduction across many contaminant classes from a single, compact media stack.
How is it different from reverse osmosis?
Reverse osmosis forces water through an extremely tight membrane under high pressure, which is slow and wastes up to five gallons for every gallon it produces. Our Electropositive Nanofiber Fast-Flow media wastes none, because 100% of the water passes through the charged field rather than being rejected. That allows far higher flow rates, up to roughly 20 gallons per minute on larger systems, at a pressure drop under 0.1 bar. It also needs no electricity and no pump, so it keeps delivering clean water when the power and the pressure are gone.
Does it remove beneficial minerals?
Unlike reverse osmosis, which strips water of nearly everything, nanofiber filtration targets the negatively charged contaminants that matter while leaving water tasting natural. You get cleaner water without the flat, demineralized taste that reverse osmosis often leaves behind.
How long does a nanofiber filter last?
Filter life varies with your source water and usage. A 5-micron pre-filter wrap protects the nanofiber core and extends its service life, and when the flow slows, a genuine Water Pure replacement restores full performance.

Performance claims only matter if an independent lab can reproduce them. Water Pure media is put through controlled filtration-efficacy testing that measures exactly how much of each contaminant is removed from real water samples, metal by metal, at a known pH. We report what the testing shows rather than rounding it up, so both homeowners and distributors can specify our systems with full confidence. These figures come from independent filtration-efficacy testing on soluble inorganic metals, not from marketing estimates. In that testing our media reduced lead by 97.6%, arsenic by more than 95.9%, chromium by 95.8%, cadmium by more than 98.8%, and silver by more than 98.4%. Several species were reduced below the laboratory's detection limit entirely, meaning they were no longer measurable in the filtered water. Because the charged nanofiber field targets sub-micron particles by adsorption rather than pore size, it holds this performance while water keeps moving at full flow. For engineers, buyers, and distributors specifying equipment, that is the kind of data a filtration decision should rest on.
